DISSEMINATION REPORT ON APEC SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

A. Background
The
APEC School Leadership Program (ASLP) 2024 is an educational leadership
training program themed “School Leadership Development for Materializing,
Education Innovation in the APEC Region, Focusing on Interconnected and
Inclusive Education Leadership,” involving school leaders from 14 APEC
member economies.
The
program consists of online pre-training (7-18 October 2024), onsite training workshop
in Seoul, South Korea (21-25 October 2024), and online post-training (28
October – 8 November 2024). To disseminate the results of this program, the
dissemination was held in Hall 2 of the Office of Education, Youth and Sports
of Karawang Regency, West Java.

D. Series
of Activities
1. Opening
The
event began with remarks from the Head of the Education, Youth and Sports
Office, Drs. Cecep Mulyawan, who conveyed the importance of dissemination
activities to strengthen innovation in educational leadership to improve
student achievement and character.
2. Presentation
of ASLP 2024 Activities
The
speaker explained the series of ASLP 2024 activities which included online pre-training,
onsite training in South Korea, and online post-training. Some of the important
points conveyed include:
· Inclusive
leadership development and interconnection in education.
· Use
of technology to support leadership and learning.
· Best
practices from ASLP 2024 facilitators and participants.
3.3. Discussion
and Q&A
Discussion
and Q&A will involve participants to explore what can be adopted and
adapted from the ASLP 2024 activities.
4. Closing
The
activity was closed with the delivery of reflections, hopes and conclusions by
the Head of the Education, Youth and Sports Office, Drs. Cecep Mulyawan, who
emphasized the importance of preparing academic abilities and strengthening the
character of students.
E. Conclusion
The
ASLP 2024 dissemination activity ran smoothly and received high enthusiasm from
the participants. The discussions provided many new insights that can be
applied to improve the quality of education in Karawang district. Things
learned from ASLP 2024, such as the use of technology in leadership and
learning, are expected to be implemented effectively.
F. Closing
This
report is expected to be a reference document for education stakeholders to
continue encouraging innovation and collaboration in the education sector.
